After 5 years of living in Bucharest, me and my best friend went on our last days there to visit The Botanical Garden. We left the house with the thought of having a little photoshoot. It wasn`t the first time we went there. We went there a few months back, also to take some photos, but for my portofolio that I needed so I can pass my exam at the photography class I have assisted.
The main reason I chose this place to take photos not just this time but also the first time was that is a quiet place, not too crowded, where I can take pictures without all eyes on me (this might be my biggest issue when I have to take photos in public here in Romania). I also had as much time as I needed to take photos without putting other people to wait after me or vice versa.
On the second visit at The Botanical Garden I was happy to see so many more flowers than the first time. I think maybe the main reason is that when I went first time there it was the end of the spring and I only could see some flowering trees. This time it was amazing because you could have seen flowers everywhere and this made me extra happy as my plan from the start was to take pictures to flowers or to use them as background for portraits.
The day was amazing, sunny, but also too warm for that period of the year. Even tho it was hot and we sweated a lot, the advantage was that my friend was able to wear a beautiful black dress with flowers, which from my point of view it matched perfectly with the background and it gave the pictures a beautiful summer vibe.
I can`t say Bucharest`s Botanical Garden is amazing, actually I think is far from amazing and I saw another two Botanical Gardens from my country, in Iasi and Cluj-Napoca, that are really beautiful, well organized with a lot plant species that you just can`t pick a favorite.
But after all, this one from Bucharest it was ok for what I wanted to do and I`m pleased with the pictures I took here thanks to the color and beautifulness of the flowers.
I really wanted to thank to my best friend and the model of these photos, Athena, for having patience with me not just here (where she had to resist to the heat) but always when it comes of being a model for me.
